I have eaten some exceptional meals in my neighborhood recently and I want to spread the word!

Little Victories
They keep changing the menu and they added short rib tater tot nachos and they are wonderful. It would be easy to think of Little Victories as just a bar, but the food is craveable. They changed up their burgers too and I am happy to report they are still top notch! This is a go-to spot for a casual date night.

Foxtrot
The new bacon tomato avocado toast is worth getting out of bed for! It has perfectly crisp bacon plus lots of smashed avocado and chopped tomatoes. Sometimes I take it home and put a poached egg on top.

Wazwan
Wazwan just opened up in a permanent spot at 1742 West Division Street and you need to go! The fried chicken sandwich is a must order item and I loved the mushroom korma.

Mott Street
We dined at Mott Street on my birthday and we have been talking about their epic – lives up to all the hype – burger ever since. Compared to the other spots on this list, Mott Street is a place where you should make a reservation in advance.

Craft
We still love our neighborhood pizza joint. At this point we have tried most of the menu – Charles orders the La Dolce Vita and my favorite is the Spinach – but in this photo I had ordered the bacon pizza.

Lost Larson
Wicker Park has some excellent pastry shops, we are truly spoiled. Lost Larson creates elegant pastries many of which incorporate seasonal ingredients. I had a chai tea latte and I shared a Kouign-amann and Cinnamon Roll with Gwen. Next time I want to go early so that I can get the quiche before it sells out.
I hope you like this quick and easy style of post. I used to think that everything needed to be beautifully photographed and written about in detail – but it can be hard to find the time for that these days. I thought that a quick post with a few phone photos was the best way to share these recommendations with you.
