Ahhh summer is finally here! It got a slow start in Chicago. June was filled with rain and 60 degree days - but I made the most of it. Here is what I have been up to lately!

My friend Lauren and I went to a dinner at Two West Delaware hosted by Top Chef winner Joe Flamm. The tortellini with a ramp sauce was unbelievably good!

I joined some fellow bloggers at Barilla's World Pasta Masters USA Qualifying Event. Eating pasta and picking my favorite one made for a pretty fun night.

Charles and I went to the Taylor Swift concert and it was absurdly fun. If you get the chance to go, you definitely should.

We went to the Old Town Art Fair and the Wells Street Art Festival - which are two separate festivals just blocks apart in Old Town. This photo is from the Old Town Art Fair, a sophisticated juried art fair. The Wells Street Art Festival is more of a rowdy boozy street festival with live music. Two very different experiences.

Charles and I biked up to Andersonville for lunch one day. It's one of my favorite Chicago neighborhoods and the bike ride along the Lakefront Path is so pretty.

The Windy City Blogger Collective hosted a happy hour at the newly renovated Metropolitan Club. It's on the 67th floor of the Willis Tower and it has incredible views of the city and Lake Michigan.

The most exciting thing that happened recently was my trip to Italy! I went to Piedmont with True Italian Taste and I got to learn all about authentic Italian products like cheese, wine, and chocolate.

I had lunch at Sabbia, Eataly's new summer pop up inspired by the Italian seaside. Heads up - they have a rosé happy hour from 5-7 on Mondays and Tuesdays and you can get $1 oysters and $8 glasses of rosé! Plus, there is a build your own Caprese Bar and a full menu of pastas, pizzas, and fish!

Earlier this week a few girl friends came over for rooftop cocktails followed by a Greek themed dinner and Mamma Mia watch party. It was great to see them before I headed out of town.

Oh and as you read this, I am in Paris with my sister. Head over to Instagram to watch the adventure unfold in real time.
