Wandering through Lisbon

Published: Apr 25, 2017 · Modified: Feb 6, 2018 by Kit · This post may contain affiliate links · 11 Comments

Today's blog post is a little something different. When I was in Lisbon I hired Aeriel and Jareth Barille to take some photos for me.

Throughout my trip to Portugal, Spain, and Morocco I wore clothing that balanced function and comfort. I wasn't exactly fashionable. I wanted to put on a pretty dress, wander through Lisbon, and have someone take photos that made me look like I didn't just camp in the Sahara Desert.

And it was so much fun! I discovered The Barille's through my friend Danielle Moss. She had been to Lisbon the week before me and she had The Barille's take her engagement photos. I had been toying with the idea of hiring a photographer in Lisbon, but didn't find anyone, until I saw Danielle's instagram post.

Unlike my friends, I am not a fashion blogger and I always think that I am awkward in front of the camera. Luckily Aeriel and Jareth were super easy to work with. They scouted locations and we spent an afternoon wandering through Lisbon. It was really fun!

The weather - which refused to cooperate when I had been in Lisbon two weeks earlier, finally got its act together and it was perfectly warm and sunny.

If you have seen my recent insta stories, you probably noticed that I chopped several inches off my hair. These photos make me miss the length, even though it was becoming impossible to deal with.

My dress is from Oysho, which unfortunately doesn't ship to the US. This is another reason why I am not a fashion blogger.

Here is a link to The Barille's photography site.
