Usually, I am not big on celebrating Valentine’s Day, but this year I think that the world could use some more love. Celebrating Galentine’s Day and/or Valentine’s Day is a perfect way to lift spirits and warm hearts during this cold winter.
It’s Gwen’s first Valentine’s Day, and since we are moving, we celebrated early. I went to my local Jewel-Osco where I found everything I needed right in the floral department. I love shopping for flowers at Jewel-Osco because the flowers are always so fresh and long-lasting, plus they are affordable. The bouquets are large enough to fill up a bigger vase, or, you can opt to divide them up making smaller bouquets to display throughout your home. The bouquets are already arranged – once you get home you just need to trim the stems and place the flowers into a vase filled with water and flower food. So easy!
While shopping, I found a cute and cuddly debi lilly design stuffed bear and obviously had to add it to my cart. Plus, you can also find Valentine’s themed balloons in the floral department! What fun toys for Gwen!
I also picked up a debi lilly design Color Meaning Candle for myself because when you have a baby, you want something to make your home smell fresh and inviting. I’ve been burning the Sunrise Mimosa candle before the realtor comes to show our current home to potential renters.

I know that our Galentine’s and Valentine’s Day celebrations might look different this year. I love the idea of surprising a friend or family member by leaving flowers on their doorstep. It’s an easy way to show that you care while maintaining social distance. Plus, flowers are known to be a mood booster – they even elevate endorphins!
