Making Welcome Kits for Holiday Guests

Published: Nov 16, 2021 · Modified: Feb 16, 2022 by Kit · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Is anyone else hosting friends or family for the holidays? We have Charles's family coming in from Europe so I teamed up with Minted to put together welcome kits for everyone. Since they are traveling a long distance and we are hosting Christmas for the first time, we want to go above and beyond to make this holiday special.

Chicago gets cold, much colder than London, so we are making sure that everyone has everything they need for the cold weather. We bought hand and foot warmers, lip balm, and my favorite wintertime hand cream. Then we added in some snackers, chocolates, face masks, vitamins, tissues, and Alka-Seltzer. Lastly, we included some Covid essentials like masks and hand sanitizer.

We packed everything up in personalized snap closure tote bags with leather detailing for the women and personalized dopp kits for the men. I teamed up with Minted who sent me the totes and dopp kits from their new gift line.

One of the reasons why I love Minted is that they work with artists who design their cards and gifts. The Botanical Cascade Tote was designed by Erin German who is based right in Illinois!

I love this City design! It was designed by Snow and Ivy based in Michigan. It feels fitting for a gift to kick of a Christmas celebration in Chicago.

Each item comes with a leather name tag. It's such a nice personalized touch. While the bags and dopp kits are a beautiful and convenient way to package up all the little wintertime essentials, I am sure they will be used again and again.

You can get 20% Minted Gifts plus free shipping by using the promo code KITGIFTS between 11/16 and 11/23. This includes photo art prints in addition to the totes and dopp kits!

Have you ever hosted your in-laws for the holidays? We have been busy getting ready for their arrival. They are staying for 12 days and Charles has put together an itinerary of all the Chicago Christmas activities. Luckily, we have a few weeks before their arrival so I have time to decorate for Christmas and prepare the guest room.

Thank you to Minted for gifting us these tote bags and dopp kits!

This post features gifted products from Minted, as always the opinions expressed are my own.
