Last Friday and Sunday, Charles and I went to Lollapalooza. It was our fifth time attending the festival, so at this point we are old pros. We can tell you that Eminem is a great performer who despite his attitude filled lyrics, really seemed to love being on stage. Newcomers Chvrches put on a great live show. Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue was the most unique and lively band we saw. And Glen Hansard lived up to my high expectations and proved to be a genuinely nice guy - he adorably invited his crew up the mic to sing a verse to thank them for their hard work. Sunday was a muddy day, but we made the most of it.
Check out the amazing braid I got at goldplaited before heading to Lolla on Sunday. I felt bad taking it out - but the one thing you need after a muddy day at Lolla is a hot shower.
