Heading to Charleston, SC

Sharing is caring!

June was the busiest month ever. My trip to Maine turned out to be more work than play, but it was still a blast. Since then we have purchased a new home and moved. With our second anniversary coming up on July 7th, we decided that it was the perfect excuse for a weekend getaway. We chose Charleston, South Carolina because I love this little city, and several of our friends have told Charles that he needs to go.

It is just a quick weekend trip – but I would LOVE your recommendations for what to see, do, and eat while we are there. And yes, we already have reservations at Husk. We are staying at Charleston Place, which looks so luxurious and charming. I can’t wait.

I am sure that I will be writing about the trip, and instagraming along the way. Follow @thekittchen on instagram to come along for the ride. We take off on July 4th – my British husband’s least favorite day of the year.

So exciting! We celebrated our second anniversary in Charleston last year. Definitely go to Bin 152 for wine and cheese and Belmont for cocktails. Two Boroughs Larder is amazing for lunch or dinner and Wildflour for Sticky Bun Sunday. Have so much fun Kit!

I had an amazing meal at Slightly North of Broad (aka SNOB) and Hominy Grill is a must-try for breakfast.

I have other suggestions on my blog: http://www.theghostguest.com/2014/01/destination-charleston.html

Have a great time! - Amanda
