Fat Shallot's BLT

The-Fat-Shallot-Truck

Folks, I am sorry to admit that I have no food in my fridge. It has been a hectic week filled with blog events and other exciting craziness I will tell your more about another time. All this is really just an excuse to not go grocery shopping and to try all the food trucks that conveniently come to my office everyday. Today I finally tried the much hyped The Fat Shallot food truck, and it certainly lived up to my high expectations. People on twitter rave about this place - so I realized it is a must try truck.

Fat Shallot's Chipotle Chicken Sandwich

I had the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. It had pulled chicken, fresh cheese, spinach, and what I believe was an avocado aioli, on a freshly baked roll. It struck the balance between being hearty but not excessive. The Fat Shallot uses fresh high quality ingredients, and the sandwich wasn't the least big greasy. The chicken was juicy and I thought that the sandwich had just the right amount of toppings. It was really great, and something I would absolutely order again.

My friend Ryan ordered the BLT, which is probably not so healthy, but it looked incredible. It was so tall. He took a photo of the sandwich next to a normal sized pen so you can understand the scale of this thing. Another item that caught my eye and smelled wonderful was the truffle fries - the portion is large and probably meant for sharing. I have a feeling that I will be trying the fries the next time The Fat Shallot comes my way.

The Fat Shallot is one of the most organized food trucks - they have a website and a schedule, so it is easy to find the truck.

*Special thanks to Ryan for taking photos of his lunch and sharing them with me!
