A guide of where to eat in Winnipeg – it’s a city with a diverse food culture. This guide is broken down in a list of Winnipeg Restaurants for brunch, lunch, and dinner, plus places for sweet treats, coffee, and drinks.
I spent five days in Winnipeg and went to over 25 different restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and bakeries. Winnipeg is a city that you eat your way through.
Where to Eat in Winnipeg
Brunch
Clementine
This restaurant in the Exchange District focuses on savory brunch with inventive twists. They serve mushroom toast with kale, truffle cheese, and black bean puree, and a poached egg instead of the overdone avocado toast. Their benedict comes on a homemade black pepper biscuit and is topped with a brown butter hollandaise and braised bacon. The waffle has strawberries, rhubarb, lime whipped cream, and matcha crumble.
Address: 123 Princess Street
Open daily. Weekdays until 3 pm and weekends until 4 pm.
Stella’s
This popular brunch spot has 7 locations, including one at the airport. If you need brunch on a weekday, or if you are an early riser this is the spot for you. The menu has all the classics, plenty of egg dishes, pancakes, and french toast. I loved the Mexican Breakfast.
