Family Matching:
People's Garment Co. is a small local company that I had to include in my Chicago Gift Guide. The brand makes apparel inspired by sports teams from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Experiential Chicago Gift Guide:
Broadway in Chicago
In addition to offering tickets for individual shows, Broadway in Chicago offers memberships!
Chicago Philharmonic
The Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra does concerts where they play a film's score along with the film - it's so much fun! We saw Black Panther in concert in 2022 and LOVED it. Their 2025 schedule includes Black Panther, The Terminator, The Goonies, Toy Story, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. This event series takes place at The Auditorium, a beautiful historic theater known for exceptional acoustics. I love it since the seats are graded steeply enough so that every seat is a great seat.
For the Black Panther performance, which the Philharmonic has been doing annually, Senegalese drummer Massamba Diop joins the orchestra. It's incredible - he helped to develop the film's score and seeing him in concert is such a treat.
Chicago Symphony Orchestra
The Chicago Symphony Orchestra has a film series that includes Field of Dreams and Back to the Future, in addition to their classical concerts.
Chicago Magic Lounge
See a show, or enroll in magic college! We really enjoyed out visit here - it's such a unique thing to do.
