Men’s Gift Guide

Sharing is caring!

This Men’s Gift Guide is inspired by my husband’s favorite things, from the softest tee shirts to the briefcase he’s used for five years. Several items are right at the $50 mark, and the pricier men’s gift ideas are things that will stand the test of time.

I included staples like sunglasses, a well-made and totally waterproof rainjacket, and a cozy 3/4 zip-up on my list along with musky forest-y cologne and on-trend shoes. And what do you get the man who has everything? He probably doesn’t have an ice cube tray that makes monogrammed ice cubes.

What I can’t include in my men’s gift guide are the things that the men in your life need to be replaced. Whenever I am folding laundry, I find items that need to be replaced. If you are struggling to come up with gift ideas, you might want to take a look through their closet. Have their white polos yellowed? Are their socks filled with holes? Use this as an opportunity to replace these items with higher quality ones.

Men’s Gift Guide:

Monogrammed Ice Cube Tray

A custom monogrammed ice cube tray is a great gift for someone who enjoys a cocktail. I gave this gift to my husband, monogrammed with C$ (how my brother refers to my husband in texts), and he loves the larger-sized ice cubes that are perfect for adding to a glass of whiskey.

This ice cube tray is available in sizes to make 2-6 cubes and in square and round shapes.

A Super Soft Well-Fitting Graphic Tee

Marine Layer has become my husband’s go-to for tees. He likes the designs; the fabric is super soft, and they have unique sizing that fits him better. Here is how the sizing is unique: in addition to offering Small, Medium, Large, and Extra-Large sizes, “Marge” is the width of a Medium with the length of a Large, and Larger is the width of a large with the length of an extra-large. For example, Charles, who is 6’3″, wears a Marge.

Sunglasses

$50 sunglasses in a classic silhouette that is always in style. I love the affordable price point of these sunnies since they tend to be an item that is misplaced.

Men's Gift Guide: A game-changing travel pillow.

Travel Pillow

This travel pillow magically holds your head in a position that makes sleeping much easier while sitting up on a flight. It folds up into a ball and fits into a carrying case.

Sneakers that come in 5 colors

Cole Haan makes high-quality, comfortable shoes, and these sneakers come in a variety of colors, from classic white and black to this beautiful brown suede. Men’s fashion sneakers have become a huge trend, and men are pairing their suits with sneakers now – the key to the trend is having a nice, clean pair of kicks.

A Cozy 3/4 Zip

I had to include a 3/4 zip-up in my men’s gift guide since it seems like men live in this style when the weather is cold. I chose this particular one for it’s red detailing and super soft quilted fabric.

Men's Gift Guide: A rugged cologne with just the right amount of musk.

Hermès Cologne

Years ago, we went to Nordstrom and smelled all of the men’s colognes to find our favorite, and this was the winner! It is available in a variety of sizes, too.

Men's Gift Guide: A totally waterproof rain jacket - did you many rain jackets are merely water resistant?

Waterproof Barbour Jacket

This jacket made it onto my men’s gift guide because is completely waterproof and a great weight for the fall and spring. I gave my husband a similar Barbour coat several years ago, and it is still in great shape after lots of wear. This jacket is available in both blue and green.

Leather Briefcase

This briefcase is majorly marked down right now! When we were in London in 2019, my husband and I went shopping for his new briefcase, and after going to several stores, this sleek, modern leather briefcase with a crossbody strap and handle was the winner. Five years later, it still looks new!
