Sharing is caring!

Today marks my two year wedding anniversary. I know that there are lists of traditional wedding gifts – but Charles and I aren’t that traditional, and we decided that our gift would be a weekend in Charleston. We just returned from a lovely three day getaway in the charming city and I am so excited to tell you all about it.

Before I get to some sneak peek photos of Charleston, let’s talk about Charles. He deserves a lot of credit for this site. It was all his idea. I joke that he is the Head Taste Tester, CFO, and Assistant Photographer. He has to deal with me making him taste version after version of recipes (don’t even get him started on how many mac and cheese jalapeño poppers he had to eat). He patiently waits with hot food on his plate until photographs have been taken at restaurants – sometimes he even helps with the photographs. He runs to the store when I realize I need an ingredient. Long story short, this site wouldn’t exist without my husband Charles.

Charles and I got married in my hometown, Kennebunkport on 7/7/12. If you want to see wedding photos, follow this link to Style Me Pretty. This week I will be sharing restaurant reviews and writing about our trip to Charleston, and as promised, here is a little preview. (Don’t worry, there are also some fun recipes on the way!)
