I definitely prefer drinking fruit smoothies over eating fruit. I love the mix of fruit flavors in fruit smoothies, and the fact they are an easy way to get my daily servings of fruit. So when Naked Juice asked me to write about their Drink Good Do Good campaign I was excited to do it. I regularly drink Naked Juice – I love the Berry Blast and Red Machine smoothies – I am a big fan of red fruits like strawberries and raspberries.
Naked Juice has teamed up with Wholesome Wave, to donate fresh fruits and vegetables to underserved communities. Nearly 24 million Americans live in food deserts – urban neighborhoods without access to fresh, healthy, and affordable food. In Chicago, 384,000 people live in a food dessert. Want to do something to help? Naked Juice wants to donate 500,000 pounds of produce to Wholesome Wave, and getting involved is as easy as posting a photo on social media. Just take a photo holding a fruit or vegetable, post using #DrinkGoodDoGood, and tag your friends to get them involved. For every photo posted, Naked Juice will donate 10 pounds of produce. To learn more visit Drink Good Do Good.
I encourage everyone to get involved. Participating in the #DrinkGoodDoGood campaign will only take a minute of your time, and it will help provide the fresh produce that people living in food deserts need to nourish their families.
