I woke up early on Saturday morning. The sun was shining. There was a cool crispness to the air. Fall had arrived. Fall in Chicago can be unpredictable. You never know how long it will stick around before the temperatures dip into the 40s (and lower). Chicagoans know to take advantage of these days by spending them outside. Inspired by my friend Lauren’s Facebook check in, we headed to the Green City Farmers Market.
The Green City Farmers Market is one of Chicago’s largest farmer’s markets. It has a great mix of vendors selling produce, prepared foods, cheese and other items. We picked up fresh pasta from Pasta Puttana and vegetables from a variety of produce stands. Then we grabbed crepes from one of the prepared food stands. Here are some photos for our morning at the market:
Chicagoans: What is your favorite farmers market? Let me know in the comments so I can check it out!
