Coming up with a name for our baby has become a major challenge. Here are some of the names that we keep bringing up.
Charles likes traditional names. I prefer names with a bit more personality. I loved being the only Kit in my classes. I don’t want my child to be one of many girls with the same name in her class. We have been debating names since we learned I was pregnant and we aren’t close to settling on a name.
Of course, we already had a boys name selected! I don’t want to share it in case one of my siblings wants to use it.
Here are some that have been suggested again and again. I would be surprised if we go with any of the names on the list, but who knows. I bet we won’t decide until she is born.

Many of the names that Charles likes are very popular. I like the name Charlotte but it is just too popular! I really don’t want a name that is on the list of most popular names.
When it comes to middle names, I repeatedly pitch Maine as a middle name. Charles laughs at me.

Have you thought about Pearl? It's a classic but not very common at all. I also love your name Kit! It was my dolls name when I was little.

You never realize how hard naming a child is until you have one! Now I feel terrible for giving my mom grief about naming me Carolyn as a kid (why didn't she name me Michelle like my child idol Michelle Tanner?!?!). We're the opposite of you - we have a fully settled girl name. But of course, this baby is a boy so we wavered between a few names for, oh, the last 8 months. I think we're finally settled on one though, so that feels good!
