I am going on a bit of a crazy trip over the Christmas holiday. First I am going to visit my parents in Maine for five days. Then I go to London to spend time with my husband’s family for three days. Then Charles and I are going to Copenhagen for four days. Finally it is back to London for a couple more days. It is too much to be doing in a short span of time, but in case you haven’t noticed, that is kinda how I live my life.
Neither of us have been to Copenhagen before, and I am very excited. The photos are gorgeous, and I am looking forward to exploring a place that is totally new to me. Obviously we know that it will be quite cold, but we do live in Chicago so I think we can handle it. I have this idea that Copenhagen will be filled with cozy little cafes where we can sip cocoa by the sea.
Have you been to Copenhagen? I would love suggestions. I know that Noma is in Copenhagen, but I am not so sure about spending $1000 on dinner. Please let me know what you think I should see, do, and eat. We will be there for New Years, is there something fun we should be planning? Thank you so much for these recommendations! I really want to go to Sweden and my husband is really against it. He says Americans try to see too much when they travel to Europe (he's British). I am determined to trick him into going!

I wish I could give you specific tips! But I can report that Copenhagen was the first city I ever visited outside the US when I was young. (...so, we're talking YEARS ago) And I remember it being exciting & magical & that the people were as kind as they were physically beautiful. Can't wait to live vicariously through you when you take your trip!
