Happy Black Friday everyone! Where do you do your shopping? I love to shop at local businesses to support my community. One of my favorite locally owned Chicago businesses is Classic Remix in River North.
Recently I joined some wonderful bloggers at the Classic Remix to prepare for the holidays. Classic Remix is an independently owned – woman owned small business, and the owner Mary has a wonderful eye and the shop has a well curated selection of home furnishings, home accessories, and fashion accessories. Mary asked us to pick out our favorite gift picks from her charming shop. Inspired by my recent move and my love of entertaining, I selected some items for entertaining and for decorating in your home.
The name Classic Remix fits the shop perfectly, as its offerings are a mix of classics and more trendy items. My picks tend to be on the classic side of things since I like to invest in pieces that are timeless.
This champagne bucket is classic and elegant and a great housewarming, holiday, or wedding gift for someone that loves to entertain. It could also double as a flower vase.
My number one pick was this lamp. It is the type of thing that will never go out of style, and it would help to dress up a space.
I just wish I had the right space in my home for a pair for the lamps. Classic Remix has a pair displayed on a table with a mirror in the center, and I love the look.
You can head over to Classic Remix to see all of my picks – which include a metal serving tray, cheese knives with a feather motif, and a backgammon set. Plus, my readers will receive a 10% discount if they mention this blog during your visit this week! And be sure to check out gift picks from the other participating bloggers on their sites: Swoon, Sed Bona, An Eventful Life, Hunter Style, and Cedar & Rush.
Classic Remix is located at 24 East Erie Street in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.
