My friends and I recently discovered the Showplace Icon movie theater in Chicago. The theater offers VIP movie tickets at a slightly higher price. The benefit of these VIP tickets is that you reserve your seat ahead of time. It is the best way to see a movie on opening weekend and to guarantee that you can sit with your friends. The VIP seating area is beside the theater’s lounge with offers food and drinks, including cocktails. Last month a group of us went to see Taken 2 at this theater and loved the VIP experience.
My husband is a big fan of the James Bond movies, so we decided that our next VIP movie experience would be seeing Skyfall. But we didn’t want to just see the movie, we decided to make a night of it. My husband and my guy friends bought tuxes over the summer, and they embrace the opportunity to wear them as much as possible. The guys decided that getting VIP movie tickets to see the new Bond movie was the perfect opportunity for a tuxedo night. They were definitely the best dressed people at the theater. The girls and I all wore cocktail dresses. The other movie goers complimented us on our ensembles, and some told us that they wished they thought of dressing up themselves.
Since we were going to get all dressed up, I decided to host a pre movie cocktail party. My husband purchased a healthy amount of alcohol to make several different martinis that Bond orders in various movies. I did some research into what James Bond eats and discovered that he doesn’t eat much. Instead of cooking foods that James Bond ate in the movies, I decided to focus on preparing food that my friends would like.

Those sliders look good enough for Bond himself and I hope you liked the movie - we thought it the best Bond yet (well i did any rate)!
