I might be biased, but I think that my hometown is pretty adorable. Kennebunkport is your quintessential Maine fishing village, and it is heavy on the charm. I recently worked with my sister to determine the most Instagram worthy places in Kennebunkport, and I mapped them all out on this Google Map.
Breakwater – This rock wall that separates the Atlantic Ocean from the Kennebunk River is the place to take a photo of the ocean. Address: it’s beside Colony Beach, which is across from the Colony Hotel.
The Kennebunk River – The lobster boats sitting in the river at sunset is a perfect photo opp. Locals can tell which way the tide is going based on the direction of the boats. Address: Stripers is a prime spot to take photos.
Clam Shack – It might be impossible to visit Kennebunkport and not have a lobster roll at the Clam Shack. And once you have that iconic, award-winning lobster roll in your hand, the first thing you should do is hold it up and take a photo. Address: The Clam Shack is technically in Kennebunk, but it is just across the bridge from Kennebunkport.
The Bridge – The bridge over the Kennebunk River divides Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. The old green bridge has recently been replaced with a newer and most structurally sound bridge, but it remains a landmark.
Pier 77 – This little restaurant in Cape Porpoise has a wall of buoys at the entrance. The restaurant’s twinkle light covered patio that overlooks the harbor is gorgeous too. And while you are there – stay for dinner – it’s one of my favorite spots in town. Address: 77 Pier Road, Kennebunkport
Cape Porpoise – This is a village in the town of Kennebunkport, and one of the prettiest parts of town. Address: This is the view from Pier 77.
Temple St – South Congregational Church sits at the end of Temple Street, and it is a beautiful small town New England church. It’s even prettier when the leaves have turned colors in the fall. Fun fact: my parents got married at the church, and when I was a baby we lived on the corner of the street. Address: Temple Street is a tiny street just above Dock Square.
Dock Square – Dock Square is Kennebunkport’s town square. It definitely looks its best at Christmastime when a giant pine decorated with buoys and topped with a lobster clutching a star sits in the center of the square. There are plenty of Instagram-worthy buildings within Dock Square too – I love the coffee shop and the Candyman – they are two of the most darling buildings in town. Address: Dock Square is the main square that is just over the bridge.
The Stadium Gallery – Across the square, the sports gallery is a striking building.
These wooden signs can be found in multiple locations in Kennebunkport. Address: This is at the intersection of Western Avenue and Dock Square.
Bandaloop – This is one of my favorite restaurants in KPT. I love how they decorate it for Christmas. Address: Beside the intersection of Union St and Cross St.
The Candyman – This penny candy store is just the cutest! Address: 20 Dock Square.
This Barn is just outside Dock Square.
And it has an old gas pump sitting next to it.
St. Ann’s – This stone church overlooks the ocean. Address: 167 Ocean Avenue.
The Wedding Cake House – This historic and intricately decorated home is over the bridge in Kennebunk. Address: 104 Summer St.
I will end this post with at Kennebunkport fun fact. Everyone knows that the Bush family summers in KPT, but did you know that Taylor Swift filmed the video for “Mine” in Kennebunkport?

It is absolutely shocking that Hallmark hasn't filmed a movie in Kennebunkport!
