Entryway Before and After: A do-it-yourself project that transformed a space on a small budget. See how we did it.

The Before: The white paint made the entryway feel cold and sterile. We wanted it to feel warm and welcoming.

The Before: We liked the family photos on the wall, but the scale was too small for this space. These were moved elsewhere.

The DIY Process: The first step was to paint the entryway. A bold blue color was color-matched using the rug.

The DIY Process: Swapping can lights out for pendants was very easy using can-to-pendant conversion kits!

The DIY Process: Framed paintings by our two-year-old match the scale and modern look of the entryway.

The Final Result: The entryway is bold and modern but still welcoming. It fits our design personality.
