Cook Time 40 minutes
Total Time 55 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Pie Crust I used Pillsbury
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/3 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Fat Free Half and Half
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

Instructions

  1. Heat your oven to 375 degrees. Use a fork to prick a few holes in the bottom of the pie crust. Then bake the pie crust until it just starts to brown. This will take about 12 minutes. Let the pie crust cool.
  2. While the pie crust cools, get to work on the pie filling. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Then whisk in the flour. Continue whisking for 2 minutes letting the butter and flour form a paste. Then whisk in the half and half, cream, sugar, and vanilla.
  3. Bring to a boil and let cook for 7 minutes, whisking frequently as the mixture thickens.
  4. Strain the filling into the pie crust. Bake for 25 minutes, the top of the pie filling should be very slightly browned.
  5. Let the pie cool before serving.
