Wow. It has been a busy busy 24 hours, and I have some updates for you. Let’s begin with last night. My friend Erin and I co-hosted a happy for Chicago bloggers at The Goddess and Grocer. If there is one thing bloggers love, it is hanging out with other bloggers. Erin and I invited a group of our blogging friends, and bloggers that we wanted to meet to the happy hour event.
I finally got to meet some of my favorite Chicago bloggers in real life. Many of us read each others blogs and chat on Twitter, so it felt like we had been friends for a while even though it was our first actual meeting.
I had so much fun getting to know everyone and talking about food, fashion, tv shows, Chicago, and all things blogging. I am looking forward to spending some more time with everyone soon. I do need to get better at taking photos at my events! I swear someone has a photo of me at the happy hour, I just couldn’t find it.
If you are a Chicago blogger and want to attend future events, just shoot me an email! I am trying to plan a couple events for bloggers each month. Also, we are always looking for bars and restaurants that are willing to host us, so if you have any suggestions let me know.
Moving right along… this morning I was on Good Day Chicago with my friend Ashlee of The Lil Foxes. Ashlee is a vegan, who blogs about vegan food and fashion. Ashlee did a segment on Good Day Chicago about cruelty-free fashion and I helped by modeling an outfit. Ashlee has a link to the segment up on her blog if you want to check it out.
And last but not least, the restaurant responsible for Chicago’s obsession with doughnuts, The Doughnut Vault, finally got a truck! And it was conveniently parked in front of my place this morning. You can find out the location of the truck by checking their twitter feed. I had a birthday cake doughnut and loved it. I must say the truck is by far the cutest in the city.
